Bechtel Power Corporation (1991-1995)

Project work including the design and construction of domestic and international fossil and nuclear power plants. Extensive work in fields of structural steel and concrete design, pressure vessel design, advanced finite element modeling and design of foundations subjected to vibratory loads.

� Designed the foundations for the GE gas turbines to meet Indian and U.S. structural codes for the Dabhol Power Project.

� Design of elevated concrete slabs, ring-wall foundations, cooling tower (plan dimensions 200 ft x 50 ft) foundation, plate girders supporting a 700 kip fuel silo, and miscellaneous structures.

� Designed an 11 ft diameter steam duct for Wet Surface Air Cooled Condenser System, with two support towers. This was the first such design for Bechtel and included many challenging features including site limitations, shipping restrictions, and erection issues.

� Received 1993 Special Performance Award for Structural assessment program to put Units 1 & 2 of Brunswick Nuclear Power Plant back on-line.
